El manga de Digimon Re: Digitize Encode me parece absolutamente cautivador, y no es solo por su apasionante argumento o su impecable representación visual, sino por un motivo mucho más significativo y personal. Sin este manga, mi vida y todo lo que ha surgido a partir de él no serían como son en este preciso instante.

Todo comenzó un día en el que casualmente me topé con este manga antiguo. No recuerdo exactamente qué estaba buscando o cómo llegué a él, pero sí sé que había pasado un buen tiempo sin tener contacto con nada relacionado con Digimon, y su aparición despertó una inmensa emoción en mí. El arte del manga capturó mi atención de inmediato, y la presencia de Dorumon solo aumentó el aura enigmática que envolvía la historia. Sin embargo, pronto me di cuenta de que había un pequeño problema: en ese momento el manga no estaba traducido al inglés ni al español, ni siquiera de manera no oficial.

Esta situación me frustró y desesperó, ya que realmente deseaba entender lo que sucedía en la historia y conocer lo que mis personajes favoritos estaban diciendo. Entonces, decidí prometerme algo ese día: algún día lograría leer el manga en su idioma original y comprender cada detalle que me estaba perdiendo.

Fue así como comencé a estudiar japonés. Poco después, salió el juego para smartphones Digimon Linkz, pero solo estaba disponible en japonés. Aunque era mi primer juego para smartphones, me emocioné con la oportunidad de poner a prueba mi conocimiento del japonés al jugarlo. Con el tiempo, el juego cambió su formato de eventos, volviéndose más elaborado y requería leer los anuncios, historietas y detalles en japonés. Aunque no tenía problemas para entenderlos, pensé en todas las personas que, como yo antes, ansiaban disfrutar de todo lo relacionado con Digimon, aunque no comprendieran el idioma. Y así, nació la idea de crear mi canal de YouTube (y posteriormente este blog y otras redes sociales) para ayudar a aquellos que necesitaran orientación y traducciones, tal como hubiera deseado recibir ayuda cuando me encontré con aquel inaccesible manga.

En conclusión, Digimon ha sido una guía trascendental en mi vida y en la de muchos otros. Aquellos de nosotros que crecimos viendo cada una de sus temporadas, jugando sus juegos, leyendo sus mangas, llevamos a Digimon arraigado en nuestro ser. Su huella es imborrable y nos acompaña a lo largo de nuestros caminos. Sin duda, este universo nos seguirá acompañando incluso después de que dejemos de lado el mundo digital, porque ya forma parte de nosotros y jamás nos abandonará.
